80 Days!

Yepp that's it... 80 days to go to a full term 40 weeks!

I have my next dr's apt on Friday. I was just there 2 weeks ago - but I am sure they are still going to keep up with 2 week apt's because on Friday I will be on the last day of 29 weeks. I heard that they usually do 2 week apts from 30-36 and then weekly from 36 onwards. Another thing to remind ya that the end is coming. I don't know if I am weird or if it just hasn't gotten to that point yet, but I have started seeing a lot of people with - I'm done let's get this baby out of me blinkies. I don't want my baby out yet! I already feel like the time is going by too quickly.

Anyways, I guess at my apt on Friday I will be having another U/S. My little guy appears to be VERY shy and in the 6 or 7 U/S I have already had has yet to show his face to us. I would love to have one awesome side profile picture of his cute little self but he doesn't want me to have one apparently. lol... I am not sure what else they are going to do though. I guess if I have also failed the 3 hr they would discuss what I have to do for that. I called today to see if they have my results but the nurse hasn't called me back yet. I am really hoping that I passed though.

In none baby related news...

It is really starting to feel like fall here. The daily high temp has dropped to 65-70 max and the nights are dropping down to 32-35 max degrees. Most of the trees here are still green so I really miss the New England colors that I grew up with. In El Paso the trees didn't change either but the weather never got fall-ish either, so I didn't seem to miss the colors so much. I am going to ask my brother to take some Pennsylvania pictures and send to me. I see that a lot of the houses are decorated for Halloween now - well it is on Friday... Dh and I don't celebrate Halloween but we did buy a plastic trick or treat pumpkin and a bunch of candy. Dh is going to give his students candy this week and then whatever is left over we will keep here for possible trick or treaters. I also got cards and stickers to send to my family. I need to get those mailed out though.

This weekend I also got Christmas cards to send to my family. I will probably address them and have them ready to send out on Thanksgiving weekend along with the Eid cards for our other friends. We don't really celebrate Christmas either but since my family does we do somethings - cards, buy them gifts, they send us gifts and send us cards... My Dad never buys us anything and to tell you the truth I can't remember the last time he gave me a Christmas or Birthday gift. He does usually send a card. My mom buys some gifts and she usually splits them up so that it looks like some are from my brothers and others are from her. She has always done that though, ever since they were babies. She will probably continue to do it until they move out of her house. This Christmas is going to be very different for our family I guess. I am due on the 17th of Jan and my brother has orders to ship out the day before on the 16th. He'll be gone for 6 weeks and then he will be based near me here. I am not sure which base but it is the Navy base in South Carolina. He said that it is just 2 hrs away. He asked me if it was possible for him to come here on weekends to relax and hang out and I told him of course he could.

Well, I guess that is all for now. I need to do a few things around the house yet today. I need to clean the kitchen and mop the kitchen floors. I need to organize the living room and vacuum the carpets. I need to clean the downstairs bathroom and the upstairs shower, and I should probably do some laundry and put last week's laundry away. lol... I try to do things when I get a burst of energy. In the next few weeks I really want to do some organizing too. I am sure that closer to time more and more people will be stopping in to visit or coming and staying for a visit. I know some of dh's friends have asked if they can come down on Thanksgiving break or Christmas break. I guess that is one of the benefits of being a professor - half of November off, Half of December off, and half of January off in addition to half of May and August and all of June and July. Oh that reminds me I need to get a rent check ready so dh can drop that off this week! Yikes!

ok I'm off... catch ya later!
