Cartoon Time

Reading my email today I found this to be the most appropriate cartoon of pregnancy yet - especially for where I am at right now...

Well, it seems that since I had such a great pregnancy early on that everything must happen now...

Tomorrow I will officially be rockin' in the third trimester. I really can't believe that I am at this point already! The first trimester took forever and then the second trimester cruised on by and I am sure that the third is probably going to speed right on by me. If I make it to the 40 week mark, I have 91 days from today. My doctor said 40w +/- 14 days... That means my little guy could be here anywhere between 77-105 days from now. I am figuring the whole month of January is game. With my due date right in the middle of the month 2 weeks early is Jan 1st and 2 weeks late is Jan 30th. As I said in my last post that I have just went ahead and ordered the big things that I am sure we will need in the beginning.

Some of those have started to arrive! Yesterday I got the swing, blanket sleepers, organizing baskets, and I also got this chime ball. When I was a kid I had 2 of these chime balls - one was safari animals and the other a carousel. They were some of my favorite toys. You could spin them, rock them, chase them... When I saw the rainforest animal one from fisher price I couldn't pass it up. I like "old fashion" kind of toys where kids need to use their imagination. Like a month or more ago I got these stacking cups from Toys r us. They are simple, bright colored cups with numbers on the bottom and each number has the corresponding number of holes in the bottom. Also, I got the original ring stacker with no bells and whistles just the rings of bright colors and the yellow and white peg. Those are all toys that I had as a kid. They build motor skills and the imagination. Dh asked me the other day will we let our son play with video games at all. I said I would prefer not to and as long as we can stay away from them I will be happier. Call me old fashioned or whatever but my son will play with educational toys. lol... Once I get some more money saved up I want to buy some of those wooden alphabet blocks. I had those as a kid too. One side had the capital letter, one a lower case letter, and then 2 of the other sides had pictures of things that started with that letter.

Anyways...

I have felt like I had a yeast infection coming since Tuesday morning - maybe late late Monday night. I was eating yogurt despite my lactose intolerance because I wanted to ward it off if I could... Well, by yesterday morning it was a full blown infection. I called the dr and they told me just go and buy a monistat packet. I asked which one and the nurse said it didn't matter. I was desperate for some relief so I got the one day ovule. I put it in last night and felt terrible after wards. I was so hot, my stomach hurt, I felt like I was going to throw up, and then I had some weird feelings in my lower abdomen. I don't know if it was my little guy's position or what it was. I had a terrible time getting to sleep and once I did fall asleep I woke up in pain so much that I couldn't roll over to my side. Finally, I fell back asleep and ended up not getting awake until 1 this afternoon. I feel much better now but sometimes the itching comes back. There was some cream that came with it - it says for use on the skin outside of the vagina... but I don't know exactly if I can use it where I have the itching or not.

Since I woke up I have been cleaning house. I have a huge pile of garbage for dh to take out and I have already put the file box I bought last night to good use. All the tabs are labeled and the papers that were cluttering the desk area are now filed... Oh and the desk draw is now organized too! (Can you tell I'm having nesting urges again...) Also, I windexed the bathroom mirror and cleaned the downstairs toilet. I threw some veggies in the microwave to steam so as soon as I am done eating them I will start some dishes. I need to dig out the stuff I sold on ebay too. One person from Norway purchased some Mary Kay stuff so I have to go to the post office tomorrow to mail that - Might as well have everything ready to go to the post office right?!

Well, I guess that is all for now.

Oh I just got an email - the crib will be here tomorrow by Fedex! YAY! I can't wait!!!
