Uneventful Days...
The last day I posted was Friday. Not much has really happened since then. On Saturday dh went to the lab and I went back to bed and then around noon I went to my friend's house. It was the first day that I felt half normal. On Thursday and Friday I had a terrible time from the chemical (m/c). I had been taking prescription strength pain killers every four hours both of those days and could still feel the cramping. Anyways at my friend's house,I took care of Navon and gave him a bath while she cleaned her house and took a shower. We had lunch together and then I left at dinner time. Navon is such a cute baby. He has a cleft lip and pallet but he is just as adorable to me. I love to spoil him when I go to visit. It was a usual night at home the rest of Saturday. Then on Sunday dh went to the lab for awhile while I got lunch ready and then after lunch we went to the lab and were there until 4:30 this morning. They needed his help at his old job so he went into the office and helped them out for awhile. Then he went to the lab and is still there. I am going to call him for dinner soon though. I have been sitting at home all day. I had to have the maintenance men come today. There have been numerous things that needed fixed at my apartment but somehow they never seem to get fixed. Since I am going to Houston for the weekend I told the landlady that they need fixed today. They finally came and they fixed everything but the problem is that they always leave the place sooooo messy. I had to clean this morning for them to come and then as soon as they left I had to go around and clean everything back up a second time. You also have to watch them like a hawk to make sure that everything gets done. The problems are fixed but in a half-assed way. I cannot wait for dh to finish his thesis so that we can move out and get a better place. Dh and I have been at odds on that one since we got married but he always assures me that it is only a short time and that we are going to move soon, but then again it always seems that we can never move quite yet. Anyways, I made him promise me that as soon as he is finished defending his thesis we are moving out and moving on! I feel like we are getting jipped in this place. It is a 2 room apartment, in one room is the kitchen and living room and the other room is the bedroom and bathroom. We measured it to be 425 sq ft. The major draw back for me is that it looks like crap. The owner never does any periodic updating or pro-active maintenance. My kitchen tile has been there since the 80's I am sure and it looks nasty. It is to be white with a green design but instead it looks yellow and brown and bleach won't even take it away. Also there are many things that looks like someone tried to fix it but just didn't care about the work they were doing or just didn't know how to fix it properly. It really takes away from the appearance of the apartment. Also, My door is just two pieces of plywood nailed together! How is that safe??? Also there is a huge gap at the bottom of about 2.5 inches. That bugs me a lot too. One time we had a lizard come through under the bottom at night and scare the crap out of me, literally... Let's just say I was having nightmares of lizards eating me for awhile. Also, in this apartment there are no outlets - I think maybe three in each room, max. Also, the closet is just a wooden box with a metal bar attached to one wall where there used to be another door. The lay out of the building reminds me of a hotel. It seems like it was a hotel and they made it into an apartment building. Well, I need to go check on dinner so I can call dh so we can eat and go back to the lab...

I'm sorry to hear about your chemical. *hugs* As far as the apt. is concerned, the owner will have a hard time re-renting it when you move out, so it's his loss, really. :)
