A New Week...

Sorry that I didn't post much the past few days, but here is why...

On Thursday I had class all day and then I had work in the evening.

Friday was a fiasco. I worked from 8:30am until 3:30pm. I ended up working 2 hours extra because get this, my student has an English class. The students are required to keep a portfolio throughout the semester and they must keep all of their papers in this folder. Everything that they are given - all the handouts, all of the graded work, rough copies, etc. Well he turned in his folder and the professor lost it, and now she is claiming that he didn't turn in his work. I am so frustrated about it! There was so much work we did for that. I just can't get over the fact that a professor can loose a student's work! Ugh...

Saturday was a day lost. While my husband was at his office hours I was at home relaxing. Then when he got home we had to go help our friend look for a car. I had to wait in the car so I ended up knitting in the car for 4 hours. Let's just say I was NOT a happy camper! After we got home we went to the last home basketball game. It was UTEP vs. Houston. It was a great game! It was close the whole way through the game switching back and forth. UTEP finally won - it was so exciting.

Sunday I had to work again from 3-7. When I was going to work I had a little bit of a headache but I thought that it would go away. Well my student and I were studying for his history exam and the longer I was there the worse my headache got. By the time I left I had a full out migraine. When I wanted to go home my husband was still busy in the lab so I stayed with him until he finished, another 3 hours gone there... When we finally got home my headache had me out of commission so my husband ended up cooking dinner while I sat in a dark quiet room with my eyes closed. I did eat dinner later on but after that I don't remember but this morning I woke up with my same clothes on...

Well good news for the week - I have vacation this week. My student is at the C-USA Basketball Tournament. They are ranked number 6. Their first game is against 11 ranked SMU. The game is to be on Wednesday. The last time they played SMU they lost, so I am not sure how they are going to do. I guess we will see. If they loose they will be back on Thursday sometime I heard so I might have to work on Thursday night and/or Friday. Hopefully they will win though so that they can stay longer and I get more vacation. lol.

I am glad to have some time off. I want to start acupuncture and I also need to take my car in for an oil change. I cannot believe that I have driven 4500 miles already! My car is now up to 91,800 miles... I feel like at this rate my poor little car is going to be disappearing before my eyes and I am going to be left buying a new car soon already. I also need to find some bolts for my license plates. I bought some at Target and Walmart and they don't fit so my little brother emailed me his but they were too big as well. I am beginning to think that my car is retarded or something. This week I also want to capitalize my study time. I have homework, 2 quizzes and a reading assessment test this week. After this week there is only one more week of class before spring break so I am really excited for that. My birthday falls over spring break this year so I am hoping that dh and I can take off somewhere for some R&R...

I guess that's all for now... Not much news yet about the IUI just waiting but I'll keep everyone posted...
